What a weekend! Apple, Fred, and the entire Alamo City staff were amazing hosts to us over the weekend and took every challenge of the weekend in stride.

It became clear earlier in the week that John would not be able to make it to the event until Saturday afternoon due to his production schedule. Apple and his team agreed to keep the lights on for John’s fans after hours to give attendees an opportunity to meet John. After arriving at 5pm and doing 3 hours of photo ops, John began signing autographs at his table at 8pm. We had both estimated that 100 people at most would wait after hours to see him. At least 500 people were waiting in line by the time we started with autographs and we finished signing well after the show closed at 10:30pm. We cannot thank the staff and volunteers enough who had arrived at 6am that morning to set up and stayed with us until the last attendee was able to get their selfie.

Thank you to the amazing city of San Antonio for reminding us what hardcore fandom looks like! We can’t wait to come back.
