This year was both John and my first time to Cincinnati. Since neither of us have spent time in Cincinnati we decided to take advantage of our Friday morning by seeing the sights (the show didn’t start until 3pm). As we settled into our Uber our driver asked where we were going. We told him and his response was, “No, no, no. You don’t want to go there. If you go there you will get robbed. People walk around and will steal anything they can off of you.” So we asked him to take us somewhere cultural that was unique to Cincinnati where we wouldn’t get robbed.
We ended up at a mall. A nice mall at Newport on the Levee but we have both been to Barnes and Noble before. Alas we were still able to appreciate a beautiful view of the city and pick up some new reading material for the plane ride home. If you are ever in Cincinnati I recommend stopping by the Hilton that is downtown for a drink if you would like to see some stunning Art Deco design.

The convention itself was a wonderful surprise. Cincinnati Comic Expo is truly a unique event with its own personality. It had all of the perks of a larger event (quality of vendors, creators, media guests) but on a more manageable scale. Big conventions are fun but by the end of the day I find myself exhausted from the over stimulation!
The fans were lovely and had great positive energy all weekend and the staff were experienced and hard working. Each member of the event staff was thoughtful and prepared each day and we so appreciate the volunteers we rely on each day to show up on time and look after both the media guests and their fans. I know we would love to come back to this great event. Thank you to Andrew and Matt for your hard work and for inviting us this year. Until next time!

Hi guys, E13 is such a brilliant idea. Hope you get many, many more clients (maybe you’ll even get some Aussie ones?). I have read some blogs of people who met you at the Cincinnati Comic Expo 2016 and they all said you were such nice fellas (paraphrased). Congrats on being great blokes, the world needs more of you so please spread yourselves around. Love your work John Barrowman and you’ve really brought joy and wonder to millions. Here in Oz you have many fans and we look forward to meeting you someday too.
Cheers and best of fortune.
